- The title says "earnings" but the chart plots revenue. Revenue growth is not earnings growth. Margins, share count and one-offs decide EPS.
- Different quarters are mixed together. Micron's quarter ended Sep 3, Broadcom's ended Aug 2, and the rest are calendar Q3. They are not the same window.
- Base effects flatter the cyclicals. AXT grew from $28M a year ago, and Micron from a memory-cycle trough. Big percentages off small bases are the norm at a cycle's turn.
- Acquisitions aren't stripped out. Vertiv's 61% is 55% organic.
- Peak growth is not a buy signal by itself. In memory especially, the stock has historically topped around peak year-over-year growth. When this list was added (Nov 8, 2026), all ten were down over the prior month.
- Our own feed lags. The app's revenue-growth field is lower than the latest quarter for most of these names (e.g. MU, AXTI, AVGO, VRT), so it looks like a different period. Treat the app figure as stale until the next fundamentals refresh.
Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
AI memory (HBM and server DRAM) is in shortage, and Micron's quarterly revenue is close to 5× its level a year ago at margins above 70%.
- Catalyst
- HBM4 pricing and new capacity coming online at contract prices that are already locked in.
- What breaks it
- Memory is the most cyclical corner of semis. Peak growth has historically come near peak share price, and new industry capacity will narrow the shortage.
Small vs. its marketBottleneck supplierOperating leverage
Indium-phosphide substrates for AI optics. Q3 revenue reached a record, gross margin rose from 22% to 56% in a year, and it swung to a profit.
- Catalyst
- Substrate capacity additions and China export-licence approvals.
- What breaks it
- Most of its production is in China. Growth is off a very low base ($28M a year ago).
Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
Solid-oxide fuel cells as on-site power for AI data centers that can't wait years for a grid connection.
Reported +138% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +111%
- Catalyst
- Hyperscaler and utility power deals, and gigawatt-scale capacity expansion.
- What breaks it
- A high P/E and a history of uneven profitability. Grid build-out would erode the speed-to-power advantage.
CRDOCredo Technology Group Holding Ltd
$22.7B1Y -26%
Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
Active electrical cables and SerDes for AI racks. It is profitable, with net margins above 30%.
Reported +115% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +165%
- Catalyst
- Attach rates in 1.6T and scale-up racks.
- What breaks it
- Revenue is concentrated in a few hyperscalers.
LITELumentum Holdings Inc

Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
Indium-phosphide lasers and optical circuit switches, with sold-out laser capacity.
Reported +109% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +83%
- Catalyst
- Capacity additions that sell out at higher prices.
- What breaks it
- Already up more than 100% over 1 year, and the app shows deeply negative GAAP operating margin.
Operating leverage
The center of AI compute, still growing revenue at a rate a company this size rarely sustains.
Reported +106% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +83%
- Catalyst
- Next-generation platform ramps and sovereign AI demand.
- What breaks it
- At roughly $4.5T, a SanDisk-style multiple is not mathematically realistic. Customers are building in-house chips.
Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
PCIe/CXL retimers and fabric switches inside AI servers.
Reported +104% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +115%
- Catalyst
- Scorpio switch ramp and content gains per server.
- What breaks it
- In-house designs at Nvidia and Broadcom, and a premium valuation.
PLTRPalantir Technologies Inc
$386.4B1Y -8%
Operating leverage
AI software platform growing like a small cap at a large-cap scale, with US commercial demand accelerating.
Reported +93% rev YoY · Latest quarter (not independently checked)not independently checked · app data +87%
- Catalyst
- Its AI platform (AIP) driving US commercial deal growth, and government contracts.
- What breaks it
- A P/E above 100. Any slowdown is punished hard at this valuation.
Operating leverage
Custom AI accelerators and networking for hyperscalers. AI semiconductor revenue was up 221% in fiscal Q3.
- Catalyst
- New custom-chip customers. Q4 guidance implies about 93% growth.
- What breaks it
- About $1.4T in size, and its Q4 guidance came in slightly below consensus.
Bottleneck supplierOperating leverage
Power and liquid cooling for AI data centers, with organic orders up more than 100%.
- Catalyst
- Converting its order backlog into revenue, and the shift to liquid cooling.
- What breaks it
- Of the 61% growth, about 6 points came from acquisitions (organic growth was 55%). Exposed to cuts in data-center capex.
